Austrian musician Starboj, known for his unique fusion of pop and reggae, celebrates the three-year anniversary of "For Real" with an exclusive radio edit version. Originally released in 2021 in collaboration with the Award-winning reggae legend Lee „Scratch“ Perry and the jamaican Singer Liz Tailor (Elizabeth Langdon), "For Real" returns in new glory to captivate audiences once again, paying homage to the creative partnership between Starboj and the unforgettable Lee „Scratch“ Perry.
A blend of finest rock- steady- rhythms, Jamaican tones and rock’n roll are the result of several trips to Jamaica by Starboj. The musician from Graz recorded sessions with well-known Jamaican musicians, like Lee „Scratch“ Perry, Sly & Robbie, Eek-A-Mouse and U-Roy. Afterwards the songs were elaborately recorded and produced in Graz at the studio zollfreizone. In the process, the Graz native set his own unmistakable accents.
“WORKING WITH LEE WAS MAGICAL, HE’S REALLY ONE OF A KIND I GUESS WE WERE BOUND TO MEET ON THIS JOURNEY.”
