The artistic aesthetic, music, and performance of feets take listeners on a journey. Along the way, they are thrown between fragile, calm moments and rough, wild, nearly chaotic impressions. The vision that Sebastian Elias Weiss pursues is to reflect our existence as living beings and life itself, as truthfully as possible.

It’s always unclear what will happen next. There is no straightforward path, and yet a common thread runs through it all. It feels absurd, sad, hopeful, strange, fragile, dangerous… and because of all this: heartbreakingly beautiful.
Beyond that, Sebastian Elias Weiss hopes to offer listeners a way to engage with the often dystopian aspects of our contemporary spirit — not through distraction, but through confrontation.
This album, the debut of Sebastian Elias Weiss, was recorded during a two-day session in July 2024 at Roland Hanslmeier’s studio in Graz. It captures eight compositions that had developed and matured over the previous two years. The goal of the recording was not to create something perfect, but rather to vividly capture the interaction of the band at a specific moment in time. While guitarist Sebastian Elias Weiss composed the music, it was collaboratively developed and brought to life by the band — with vocalist Tillmann Risse, bassist Federico Perinelli, and drummer Jan Samson Krizanic. The album is rounded out by an intimate solo guitar piece featuring a kalimba.
Each band member brings a unique musical background, which is reflected in the music. All of them have engaged intensively with jazz and its language of improvisation at some point. However, feets has also been strongly influenced by rock, pop, early and contemporary classical music, and electronic music.
A possible genre label could be Lyrical Avant-Indie, Pop, Jazz-Rock. But perhaps it’s best not to rely too much on descriptions. Instead, enter the world of feets, immerse yourself in it, and process the impressions in your own personal way — because that’s what they’re for. That’s what feets is for.
